The ten-year demonstration project on career change undertaken by the University of Rochester Adult Counseling Center was unique, drawing on key concepts from developmental psychology, personality theory, counselling theory, and the sociology of careers to provide adult career counselling; the findings of the project will become routinely cited in all fields relating to career change.
