In January 2006 Dr White was awarded the Longman-History Today Trustees’
Award for History 2006 – the award for an outstanding contribution to
the promotion, awareness and enjoyment of history - for his work on the
Nelson Letters Project, the National Maritime Museum's Nelson and
Napoleon exhibition and his tireless work co-ordinating the Trafalgar
200 celebrations.
