21st Annual International Conference on Medievalism:
About the Conference: The 21st Annual
International Conference on Medievalism will explore the idea of medievalism,
or the later reception and interpretation of the Middle Ages, as it
is specifically expressed in ideas of the marvelous or the supernatural.
Tom Shippey (Walter J. Ong Chair of Humanities, St.
Louis University) and Laurie Finke (Kenyon College)
are the two plenary speakers. See the Conference
Program for more details. Costs and Registration: The comprehensive
fee for the conference is $95 (95 USD) for regular faculty
and $50 for others (students, emeriti, independent scholars,
etc.). International scholars are welcome to pay the fee in
cash on arrival. This fee includes 2 lunches. The Friday evening banquet,
at the University Plaza Hotel, costs $35; conference participants and
their guests are welcome to attend the banquet.
